I admit it, I'm slightly obsessed with Twin Atlantic.
Okay, fine, I'm completely obsessed.
When their album Great Divide came out in 2014 I sat on the pavement outside HMV on Oxford street for nearly 4 hours from 5:30am just so that I could be part of the first 100 people to buy the album and get to see them perform later that day.
I saw them again at Glastonbury in 2015. Even missing Lionel Ritchie's incredible headline slot just so I could watch them perform.
So when they released their new album GLA at the start of September and announced a U.K tour, I just had to get tickets.
And that's how I found myself at the front of the crowd at Newcastle's Student Union on Friday night with one of my best friends.
(I should mention that Anti doesn't actually like Twin Atlantic! She was just being a great friend by stopping me from going alone)
The gig was incredible.
Nothing beats hearing your favourite band/singer perform live.
I won't bore you with the details of the set list because for many of you the song names won't mean anything, but I will say that it was pretty great, with the perfect combo of songs from all 4 albums.
During the final song, No Sleep, Sam did a spectacular stage dive and ended up practically walking on the ceiling. Sadly I didn't get any pics of it but I did manage to catch the moment right before he jumped!
If you haven't heard their album yet, go give it a listen!
