Even though I saw this play on the same day as I went ice skating I felt that to do it justice I needed to write a separate post.
Tabitha and I were very kindly given tickets for Golem by some family friends who could no longer make performance. I'm so glad we were able to go - it was outstanding.
The play is performed by the award winning 1927 theatre company the masterminds behind the critically acclaimed shows: Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea and The Animals and the Children. The play blends animation with entrancing music and live performance to create an extraordinary show.
Golem explores one of the great questions of the modern world - what happens when mankind and machines become inextricably intertwined? It is witty and incredibly well observed. The Young Vic has extended the play's run until January 31st and there are still tickets available here. I couldn't recommend it enough - it's only an hour and half long with no interval. The perfect length to keep you interested for the entire performance.
